It’s new secondary hull shrouded in darkness, the NX finally looks complete. The now full fledged starship awaits Mike Okuda’s fleet graphics. This will be the first Enterprise with graphics designed by a man who has actually flown graphics into space.
Doug, this refit is gorgeous! I always had high hopes that we’d all get to see a refit NX-01 before the show ended. This is a dream come true.

I know we have to wait for more reveals, but I happen to be starting my Polar Lights NX model and want to at least hint toward this. Any minor tips that don’t give away the candy store you can give we model nerds on secondary hull shape? This angle’s perspective is playing the same trick on me it is on Dwayne in comment 81.

This looks like quite an interesting project. It looks better than I thought it would with the secondary hull added on.
My only hope is that I will see it in some future canon Star Trek show.

Can’t say I’m fussed on the on the refit I always liked the NX-01 for what it was. But I hope it takes flight again some day. It should be brought back for Season 5.

This is amazing work, and yes its easy to say that, but when ENTERPRISE ended with Season 4, I moved from the US back to the UK not dreaming for a moment that the series would see the evolution of the NX class … but this image, as enticing as it is suggests so much that could have been. As a designer myself, I always look for the best way to make things look good and this looks more than good, it looks fantastic and … dare I say it, leads the way to the Constitution Class vessel we all know from classic Star Trek.
Oh, I need to ask – are there any plans for the release of the Intrepid class blueprints? I think I wrote Mike Okuda a year or so asking this, but do not recall receiving a reply. Thank you.
The NX-01 is already my most favorite starship! I really would like to see Star Trek Enterprise return with a season 5 to include this NX-01 refit. I’m sure all Star Trek fans completely agree. Star Trek Enterprise is also my favorite show among the star trek francise.
