The second strip here is both the end of the story arc OPERATION EEL ISLAND and the beginning of CRISIS ON THE CAMPUS.
Poor Steve! Out of one sketchy situation with a married woman and right into another! The look on his face in the last panel says “Here we go again!” Good thing Steve’s a chivalrous man!

Maybe I’m just tired, but I’m not sure what Index is saying…although I know what incident to which he refers.
I think Mrs. Olson will be quite willing to take those dates when she meets the nice Major, out of duty, of course!
If this is called Crisis on the Campus, that means trouble’s afoot. Well, it IS a Steve Canyon story, after all, eh? Let’s get it rolling!

In May of ’51 the US stopped using the Articles of War to administer military justice and started using the Uniform Code of Military Justice, I think Index thinks that Steve is still going to report the “incident” and wanted him to know that he would have to do so under the UCMJ, and fyi article 128 is Assault, and 133 is Conduct Unbecoming an Officer and Gentleman. I assume the articles 93 and 95 are the same thing.
I do find it interesting they haven’t shown Mrs Olsen’s face; just like Mrs Index; and that she has some “back bills” that she needs to pay, I bet Steve knows her and I think she might be a spy.
