That puddle of ice doesn’t look like enough water to be the whole block of ice. Why would they ditch the truck and move the block of ice? I’d think if they had the know-how to move the blocks of ice, they would have had a refrigerated truck.
Perhaps it’s something to throw them off the trail? If that was the intention, they were rather sloppy and left plenty of clues for Dick and Sam to find.
I tell you, between Dick, Steve, and all the great posts today, it really helped me put behind the 12 hours I just spent in the car today! Thanks Doug!
Haha! Felt like it! East Lansing, MI to Milwaukee, WI. Listed as a 5 hour trip, but with all the construction and having to drive through Chicago tends to slow things down. (deg should know all about this – got stuck waiting to go through the last toll on the Skyway for 1/2 hour!!) Got there in about 5 h 45 mins. Then the return trip took almost 7 because of all the stops due to having a 3 year old and a 3 month old in the backseat. Good times!
