    Congratulations. Well earned, of course.

(And it’s six noms if you count the webisode nomination for “Face of the Enemy,” too.)

Naturally, I’m disappointed the show didn’t get any acting or the “best drama” nod, but I gave up on the Emmys after the first season of “The Wire” got utterly snubbed.

So, Doug, when are you going to start talking about what you do(did) on BSG?

BBC 2 here in the UK is showing The Wire and were coming up to the end of the 3rd season. I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting a good drama.

Have to say I’m surprised that the show got snubbed, although it’s only now getting public acclaim. Before it was something of a cult phenomenon.

Science Fiction in the drama and acting categories always get overlooked.

I have an entry on Richard Livingston, our ship illustrator in the pipe.

This is a huge issue with me. Was there a better actor on television over the last 4 years than Edward James Olmos in a more demanding role? Or a better actress than Mary McDonnell? Surely they at least deserved a nomination! And don’t get me started on “Best Drams”.

Yeah, but even Bear McCreary gut snubbed. That’s really sad.

Quite right too. There was a noticeable improvement in the effects during the last season (and that’s saying something). I guess this coincides with the work being done in-house?

Weird that they can recognise the best VFX on television but not acting or writing. Anyway, congrats to all who worked on BSG’S effects, you deserve it. Daybreak was like a full blown movie.

I was commenting to my daughter last night that each episode is like a great movie in and of itself, yet it’s all part of a really big great movie! All the talent and hard work should have been recognized because it is all on a level better than your average TV drama or sci fi. On a not so hot TV budget!

Congrats, to all of the nominees!!

This comes at no surprise! You guys did a fantastic job and the 4th season really had some out-of-the-park VFX. I’ll be crossing my fingers and saying my prayers for when the results come in! :)

    Congratulations indeed to the team!
And a special nod to the class act you demonstrated.
