Love that ship, love Sean Connery!! He woulda made a spankin’ good Captain…well, he did, for the Red October.
I’m likin’ your taste, too, Jay! Refering to your comment a couple of days ago re: Queen and a couple of movies – finally finished Flash and had a rip roarin’ time! Ah-Ahhh
I could pop it in the DVR and watch with you…where are you at in the movie? I just ordered the book and will have it in a couple of days because I lost my first one. I like reading it now because I can picture Ramius…
Now that would make a decent certificate! I may have to contact those folks at trek5!!
From any angle, she’s a beauty! I would suggest a pinup type photo with me draped over the “hood”, but I’d be really hard to see with all of her in the shot!!!
Doug, do you know where your TOS FDO certificate is? I’d like to see it. I thought maybe you’d posted it previously, but scrolling through previous stuff hasn’t turned it up.
I respect the ship a lot more having had such a close look at it through Drex Files, so thanks for that. Still not a fan of the series associated with it but I can appreciate the work that went into every aspect of its technical design. Thanks for sharing all of those details we all love to see, Doug. Your work on this stuff brings life to the dreams that I (and it seems a lot of people just like me) have had because of Star Trek.
I’ve always thought that was the coolest angle of the Enterprise. In fact that angle works so well on any of the Es. Doug, what you said in an earlier post about keeping the relationship between the nacelles and saucer the same as on the TOS Enterprise really pays off in this view.
Well you earned it Doug! The NX has become one of my favourite Star Fleet designs.

Dang! That’s nice! If Sean COnnery were a Star Trek fan, he would dub it “sheckshie”!

Coincidentally I am watching Red October on TNT right now.
