Yea, Moon Maid! I knew I wouldn’t have eaten the escargot!! Though not because it was drugged….

Hopefully we’ll see the other space coupe heading down to Earth soon. Gotta love that ejector tube.

When do we get back to the tree murder? Dick Tracy is on his way back!

Dea! The Tree case goes center stage this weekend, with an extended Tracy entry… and it is weird.

Frederick — you called it, it’s the same Action and Sci-Fi movie cliche that I like to call the “Kirk uses the alien babe to win syndrome” (though obviously it originated long before Star Trek).

Doug, there ya go, I guess it really has been a sort of cultural male/female interaction stereotype for quite a long time.

And we mustn’t forget Commander J.J. Adams, who’s manly lovin’ turned Altaira against her own father. That movie was such a template for so much to follow!

I posted a whole lotta FP stuff a while back on My Monster Memories blog… but most of the pictures were of Altaira and Robby! http://monstermemories.blogspot.com/2008/08/forbidden-planet-part-1.html

It’s in four parts so don’t miss a one!

Yeah Forbidden Planet was indeed the template for Sci-Fi that followed it for decades, love it!

I love these old strips. I’m finding myself looking forward to reading the next one! Keep ‘em coming DD!

Well, this is one instance where I’m glad to say I’ve been proven wrong! Go Moon Maid! I’m a hopeless romantic at heart so I always cheer when true love wins out!

And good ol’ Diet! Always the optimist! Even after being treated poorly by the Moon people, he still wants to extend a hand of fellowship.
