One from the vaults. An amazing picture of Leonard Nimoy on the Desilu backlot, vintage 1966. West of the Water tower, and what was shortly to become annexed by Paramount Pictures.

Excellent portrait of Leonard during the filming of Star Trek. A rare find indeed.
It is so odd to see any of the original cast in costume and makeup, doing mundane things. Invasive candid photography wasn’t something I ever associated with my childhood heroes. I like it.
Thanks Doug for the photo.
“Greetings..I am Commander Spock, and I am here to discuss with you the logic behind purchasing a new Buick.”
I do wish somebody had a camera the day De Kelley accidently rammed Nimoy’s car — both cars brand new. Imagine De in street clothes and Nimoy was in costume and ears.
“Leonard, I wrecked our cars!”
Now that would have been a shot.!
But this is a great pic, nonetheless.
Ut…ut… ut… oh that’s going right into my Trek screen-saver!
Thanks Doug, and hang on I got something for ya I think you’ll like… email ya in a minute after I scan it.

Wow, never thought I’d see Spock with a Buick! Look’s like Leonard bought a nice ‘64 Riviera. Conway Twitty had a car almost just like that.

And to think episodes later he would fight against a man into rich corinthian leather.
Wow, Nimoy with my favorite ride, I would like him to pose with my 64 Riv!!
Wonder where Kirk is?
Suddenly I feel like re-watching my Due South DVDs!
Great pic!
Pretty sure that’s a ‘63, or ‘64 Corvette to Spock’s right. Can tell year from fake air extractors behind front wheels.
